This confirms from the primary what the Mandelkorn node already asserted from elsewhere - that he received the conference transcript as AFSWP's point of contact.
“CONFERENCE On AERIAL PHENOMENA. Held at 1300, 16 February 1949, in conference room P-162, Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico. Present: 4th Army: Major Winn, Major Godsoe, Captain Neef. AFSWP: Commander Mandelkorn. University of New Mexico: Dr. LaPaz. FBI: Mr. Maxwell. USAEC, SFOO: Mr. Morgan, Mr. Newburger. University of California: Dr. Bradbury, Dr. Holloway, Mr. Hoyt, Dr. Manley, Dr. Reines, Dr. Teller. ... Mr. Newburger opened the conference and stated that the subject of Aerial Phenomena was classified Secret within the meaning of AR 380-5 ... Captain Neef: It all started back in December, 1948, when we first received some reports from some airline pilots that these green fireballs were sighted.”
The minutes also record, in the transcript itself, that "for next minute or two, Dr. LaPaz's comments on record drowned out by noise from ditch digger immediately outside conference room".
