Gallaudet says he sought no position, that Mike Wel of Navy intelligence invited him, that going for a GS-14 after serving as an under secretary of commerce would be ‘preposterous’, that he has spoken with those former superiors and Kirkpatrick ‘never really checked with them’, and that the statement was ‘an outright lie’. Kirkpatrick answers that it was ‘not an outright lie’, says Gallaudet sat in his office after Mike brought him in, and that the position discussed was an SES one. Gallaudet replies that Kirkpatrick has been carrying out a misinformation and disinformation campaign and cannot acknowledge it because of who he is ‘on the payroll with’. Kirkpatrick answers that this is ‘a great statement that has absolutely no bearing from reality’.”
