The University of Colorado UFO Project, contracted to the US Air Force on 6 October 1966 and directed by physicist Edward U. Condon with Robert Low as coordinator. It delivered its report to the Air Force in November 1968; the Air Force released it in January 1969 as "Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects". Its general conclusion was that "nothing has come from the study of UFOs in the past 21 years that has added to scientific knowledge." Project Blue Book closed on 17 December 1969, and this project's own bluebook node already carried that date before this committee existed on the map. The direct origin of the study is the USAF Scientific Advisory Board ad hoc committee chaired by Brian O'Brien, which reported in March 1966.
