GEC-Marconi Scientist Deaths (1982-1990)
A documented series of roughly 25 deaths of British defense-electronics scientists and engineers at GEC-Marconi, Plessey and Ministry of Defence-linked labs between 1982 and 1990, many working on radar, electronic warfare and Strategic Defense Initiative ("Star Wars") contracts. Best-documented cases include Vimal Dajibhai and Arshad Sharif (1986), Roger Hill (Marconi radar designer, 1985) and Alistair Beckham (SDI-related engineer, electrocuted in his shed, 1988). The cluster was raised in Parliament and covered by mainstream press; the consensus is that the deaths were real but that most victims worked on separate, mostly unclassified projects and that a coordinated-murder explanation remains unproven.

A series of related events over years, not a moment. MUST render as a band from date to end, never as a point -- if it draws like an event the type has bought nothing. The same shape applies to classifiedresearcherdeaths (card 5).
