Physicist at Los Alamos. In late 1970 he was collecting accounts of the green lights seen over Los Alamos two decades earlier, circulating a form for witnesses to fill in; one reply held here, dated 23 November 1970, reports sightings "during the years 1948 through 1951" in the Jemez Mountains, all reported to Protective Force Headquarters. On 16 December 1970 Tuck wrote to the U.S. Army Engineering School at Fort Belvoir asking for "the recipe that was used for the simulated atomic bomb demonstrations", explaining: "We are interested in the large atmospheric vortices which are produced as reported in the book 'Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects' by Dr. Edward U. Condon." He was testing a mundane explanation, and this project holds no record of what he concluded.
