John McCone
Director of Central Intelligence (1961-1965). A supposed November 1963 memo has President Kennedy ordering him to compile the CIA's UFO files ten days before Kennedy's assassination; a documents examiner and White House archive search both found no evidence the memo is genuine. Before government service, co-founded engineering firm Bechtel-McCone and served as a director of ITT; served as special deputy to Secretary of Defense James Forrestal in 1948.
