Luis Alvarez

1953-01-14Robertson Panel

Luis Alvarez - Nobel laureate experimental physicist who sat on the 1953 CIA Robertson Panel and helped analyze the Tremonton, Utah film, concluding the objects were birds. A heavyweight scientific name lending authority to the panel's dismissive findings.

The clause "analyzed the Tremonton, Utah film" is not supported by this document, which credits the analysis presented to the Panel to two named men who were not members: printed p.3, "Lt. R. S. Neasham, USN, and Mr. Harry Woo of the USN Photo Interpretation Laboratory, Anacostia, presented the results of their analyses of the films". IT IS NOT DISPROVED - the Panel studied the films itself and Alvarez may well have analysed them, as secondary accounts say - it simply cannot rest on this file. The claim remains on the reader's page in this entity's own description, which already reads "helped analyze the Tremonton, Utah film, concluding the objects were birds".
