THE AGENCY'S OWN ACCOUNT IN THE SAME HEARING DOES NOT NAME HIM: Admiral Turner says on printed 8 only that the destruction happened "with the concurrence of the then Director of Central Intelligence".

Caveat THIS IS A SENATOR SPEAKING, NOT THE AGENCY. Five pages later the Director of Central Intelligence describes the same destruction and does NOT name the DCI who authorised it - his words at printed 8 are "with the concurrence of the then Director of Central Intelligence". The attribution to Helms is Kennedy's and is recorded as his.
