House Armed Services UFO Hearing (1966)

Hearing [No. 55], "Unidentified Flying Objects", held 5 April 1966 by the House Committee on Armed Services. The committee met at 10:35 a.m., L. Mendel Rivers presiding as chairman. Harold Brown, Secretary of the Air Force, gave the Air Force statement; also present were Gen. John P. McConnell, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, consultant to Project Blue Book, and Maj. Hector Quintanilla Jr., the UFO project officer. Rivers named Gerald Ford as a prompt for the session. The Exeter incident is examined across eighteen pages of the record.
