Marconi Underwater Systems software engineer, aged 24, found dead beneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol in August 1986 - one of the earliest and most-cited cases in the GEC-Marconi scientist-deaths cluster. He had reportedly worked on the Sting Ray torpedo guidance system.
