Frederic W.H. Myers

1882–1901

Classical scholar and co-founder of the Society for Psychical Research who coined the word "telepathy" and the concept of the "subliminal self." His posthumous Human Personality and Its Survival of Bodily Death became a foundational text for survival-of-consciousness research.
