J.B. Rhine

1930

Botanist-turned-psychologist who founded scientific parapsychology at Duke University in the 1930s, coined the term "extrasensory perception," standardized card-guessing ESP experiments, and later created the Rhine Research Center. The scientific ancestor of nearly every later psi program, including the government remote-viewing effort.
