Wernher von Braun
1912–1977
German-American rocket engineer. Technical director of Nazi Germany's V-2 program at Peenemünde — mass-produced at the Mittelwerk using concentration-camp forced labor. Brought to the U.S. under Operation Paperclip; became the first director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and the architect of the Saturn V behind Apollo. Per his former Fairchild spokesperson Carol Rosin, before his 1977 death he warned of a manufactured sequence of threats ending in a faked alien invasion — a striking but single-source, uncorroborated claim.
