Physicist-turned-parapsychologist. Joined Maimonides Medical Center's ESP research in 1975 working with Ingo Swann, who recommended him to SRI's remote-viewing program that same year. Succeeded Hal Puthoff as project director in 1985, and when SRI closed in 1990, moved the program (by then called Star Gate) to SAIC to keep it running until 1995.
