John von Neumann
Hungarian-American polymath (mathematics, computing, game theory) and fellow emigre Martian alongside Teller. Manhattan Project scientist, architect of the modern computer, AEC Commissioner, and a principal Cold-War defense-science strategist (mutual assured destruction). A central figure of the weapons-and-computing establishment. Two of his ideas reach directly into this map: his 1932 mathematical formulation of quantum measurement placed the wave-function "collapse" at the act of observation - the seed of the consciousness-causes-collapse interpretation - and his theory of self-replicating automata became the basis of the "von Neumann probe," now a leading hypothesis for what UAP might be.
