The Red Thread Files
Scientist or researcher

Lincoln LaPaz

University of New Mexico astronomer and meteor expert who led the Air Force's gratis investigation into the green fireball sightings beginning December 1948. Personally witnessed one incident (the December 12, 1948 "Starvation Peak" fireball) and used transit measurements to rule out a conventional meteorite fall, citing its silence, near-horizontal path, and unmatched green hue. Presented his full case file to Los Alamos physicists at the classified February 1949 conference.

In the UAP recordRuled into the unidentified-phenomena thread on 3 September 2026 by reading this entity's record, after the automated screen proposed "neither" for it. The screen's "neither" only means that no term from its vocabulary fired; the deciding phrase here is this entity's own: "the green fireball s". An editorial classification of which thread this entity belongs to; it rests on no page and does not claim to.
