Vandenberg UAP Incursions (2003-2005)

A series of five reported UAP incidents at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, between 2003 and 2005, described to Congress under oath on 9 September 2025 by Jeffrey Nuccetelli, then a base military police officer, who says he witnessed one of them and investigated others as they occurred and drew on six other servicemembers for the rest. The first, on 14 October 2003, was a glowing red square reported by Boeing contractors hovering over two missile defence sites. Later the same night five witnesses at a launch site reported a triangular craft larger than a football field, silent, holding position over their entry control point for about 45 seconds before departing at speed; Nuccetelli responded to that call. A week later an object was reported to have descended to the flightline, and Nuccetelli testified that the witnesses to it were told to keep quiet. Two further incidents are placed in 2005, one of them his own sighting of a thirty-foot sphere of light. He testified that the base was flying launches the National Reconnaissance Office had assessed as the most important in 25 years. The accounts are a mixture of first-hand, investigative and second-hand, and the node says which is which because the hearing does. The Air Force police records that would corroborate them are gone: he testified that AARO told him they could not be located, having been destroyed on the service's three-year schedule.
