GRILL FLAME

1978-07-13 – 1982-09-30ACSI directs the nickname

The unclassified nickname under which the Army Chief of Staff for Intelligence directed that all Army parapsychology and remote-viewing work be protected from 13 July 1978. From 1981 it ran as a joint services program with DIA. INSCOM left it on 30 September 1982 after a congressional directive removed the program from the National Foreign Intelligence Program.

In the consciousness threadClassified 25 August 2026 from this entity's own role text, which reads: "Chief of Staff for Intelligence directed that all Army parapsychology and remote-viewing work be protected from 13 July 1978. Fro". An editorial classification, the same kind of field as cat - it rests on no page and does not claim to.

Notes on this record

The end date

INSCOM's participation ended 30 September 1982 by congressional directive; the fact sheet says INSCOM 'dropped out of the joint services program on 30 September 1982'. This end date is the end of INSCOM's participation, NOT necessarily of all GRILL FLAME activity elsewhere.
