Maj. Dewey Fournet

1952

Air Force officer who served as liaison between Project Blue Book and the Pentagon starting in 1952, reporting to Ruppelt. Conducted a "motion study" of several hundred detailed sighting reports, narrowing them to roughly a dozen he considered inexplicable by any conventional object, and concluded their flight patterns showed intelligent control of extraterrestrial origin. Presented these findings to the CIA's Robertson Panel in January 1953, where the study was ultimately rejected. Later joined NICAP's founding Board of Governors.
